Do I need to modify AP when moving a database server to another machine (UNIX to Windows, or Windows to UNIX)?

No. The only thing you have to do is modify the keyword DB_SvAdr in the configuration file (dmconfig.ini) on the AP side. Users just modify the new IP Address at DB_SvAdr to connect to the new database server.
