[December 10, 2014]

[2014/12/10] SYSCOM released DBMaker CloudDB 2015 in July 2014 and at the same time it passed the test in the Cloud Development Test Platform of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Later on SYSCOM was invited to exhibit its DBMaker CloudDB in the Government Pavilion's "Cloud Development Test Platform" section of the Taipei IT Month 2014, starting on November 29 through December 7, 2014.

Most of the commercial database software on the current market is from overseas brands, such as Oracle, not from local vendors in Taiwan. As a matter of fact, however, SYSCOM already developed and released a database product – DBMaker, with its own brand 20 years ago. Since 1995, SYSCOM has embarked the research and development of DBMaker and released many versions, from traditional relational database to the latest cloud database. DBMaker now has a great base of users in global markets, including Japan, Italy, USA, Taiwan, and more, and enjoys a good reputation.

SYSCOM was a pioneer domestic SI company that built up the first research and development center in Taiwan in 2005. SYSCOM's president, Mr. James Liu, positioned this relational database engine – DBMaker, as SYSCOM's core R&D product to show his determination and devotion to this product. DBMaker was granted the Taiwan Excellence Award in both 2013 and 2014, and passed the appraisal of SEI CMMI ML5. DBMaker actually sets an outstanding model of product quality and reputation for Taiwan's IT industry.

In July 2014, SYSCOM released DBMaker CloudDB 2015, which opens up a new cloud application business section -- Database As a Service (DaaS). Via a patented Cloud ODBC interface, users can easily access their data stored in cloud databases with full DBMaker functions. With this innovative structure of DBMaker CloudDB, enterprise users can comfortably enjoy the cloud connection service without knowing the exact server. DBMaker CloudDB 2015 dynamically and quickly scales up according to service requirements and helps enterprise users reduce time and cost for installing and managing databases. Enterprises can shift their resource towards enhancement and innovation of software development, quality, functions, and services.

DBMaker CloudDB 2015 also passed the test in the Cloud Development Test Platform of the Ministry of Economic Affairs in July 2014. The Cloud Development Test Platform is established by the Ministry of Economic Affairs to boost cloud application in the public sector and to improve RFP specification of governmental procurement. The Cloud Development Test Platform is to help strengthen cloud features, build up cloud testing techniques, provide cloud testing environment, and verify product technology for cloud application.

SYSCOM displayed DBMaker CloudDB 2015 in the Government Pavilion's "Cloud Development Test Platform" section of the Taipei IT Month 2014 on November 29 through December 7, 2014 and attracted many visitors who were searching for cloud solutions. SYSCOM’s DBMaker CloudDB enables users, in both public and private sectors, quickly and smoothly get into cloud development without worrying about problems in server configuration and DBA incubation. Instead, developers can entirely focus on technique innovation for more creative software applications.
